Can I get a bridge loan using stock as collateral.?

I have a problem. My financial advisor arranged to get me into a REIT fund that closes on the 17th. He thinks I will earn 30% this year with very little risk. Problem is the funds were supposed to come from a real estate closing that has been delayed three weeks. I want to know if I can use my stock portfolio as collateral for a bridge loan.
